Do you have a Portfolio, or have you ever thought about creating a Career Portfolio? Well if you haven’t done so yet, now is the time to get one done, especially if you are unemployed.

 Why? When you have a Portfolio, it shows your potential employer that you were proactive and organized during your previous job experiences. It also gives you, the job seeker, a sense of pride, while demonstrating your record of accomplishments.

To prepare your Portfolio, find a quiet corner / location and focus on your past responsibilities. Identify your accomplishments, which should include systems and procedures you implemented. List these in order of competency, with emphasis on your greatest strength, or selling point. Once done, package your Portfolio with your resume and references, and be ready for your next job interview.
